CRITICA: Mothership. The very best of Led Zeppelin saldrá el próximo 13 de noviembre, según ha anunciado el propio grupo. El nuevo disco de la formación británica es un doble CD que contiene una selección de las 24 mejores canciones de la historia musical de Zeppelin. Trayectoria que duró 12 años y que a pesar de no haber dado señales de vida durante más de veinticinco años, desde que falleciera el batería John Boham en 1980, la banda ha sido inspiración obligada para los grupos que han llegado posteriormente a la escena musical internacional.
La selección de los temas ha corrido de la mano de los tres integrantes que quedan, Jimmy Page, Robert Plant y John Paul Jones. En ella podemos encontrar títulos tan importantes para la historia del rock como Stairway to heaven, Whole lotta love, Kashmir, Rock and roll, Dazed and confused o Inmigrant song.
Además el nuevo lanzamiento incluirá un DVD de 90 minutos de canciones en directo extraídas del homónimo DVD que se lanzó en el 2003. Las imágenes recorren los años comprendidos entre 1969 y 1979, etapa en la que tocaron en el Royal Albert Hall (1970), en el Madison Square Garden(1973) o en Knebworth (1979).
