Originally called Amon, they changed their name to Amon Goeth in 95, to not be confused with the Swiss Amon, that was getting a lot of attention at that time. In 99, they dropped the name Goeth, and were again known as Amon
Amon Goeth was a nazi concentration camp-kommandant. He was executed for crimes against humanity. He is believed to have executed over thousands of people, and is said to have been very sadistic.
On 24th january of 01, Fana Medek and Mirek Sabata, who was playing drums in Amon at the time, were killed in a car accident upon their return from the Exponent Studios, in Slovakia.
