Il killer meglio addestrato è tornato in un nuovo episodio. Rinchiudetevi in casa perché la pietà è un sentimento che non verrà preso in considerazione.

L'agente 47 è tornato con il suo vistoso tatuaggio sulla testa, ma questa volta non tutto sembra incominciare per il verso giusto. La prima parte del gioco infatti ci mostra il nostro uomo gravemente ferito, senza forze, esanime. Ma cosa è successo esattamente? Per comprenderlo dovremo partire da molto lontano, ripercorrere le missioni, la vita dell'Agente 47 attraverso una serie di ricordi frammentari e sbiaditi.
I ragazzi della Ion Storm attraverso questa intelligente trovata, hanno realizzato dodici missioni apparentemente slegate tra di loro, ma dalla grande atmosfera e suspance. In verità non si tratta di sfide completamente nuove, ma di obiettivi visti nel primo Hitman, ora completamente rielaborati. L'agente 47 attraverso una serie di flashback riviverà spezzoni di vita passata. Le missioni riprese dal primo Hitman ovviamente sfruttano le capacità grafiche dei sistemi di ultima generazione ed inoltre pur presentando la stessa ambientazione e personaggi, offrono al giocatore nuovi obiettivi, il che le rende completamente inedite. In alcune missioni dovremo per esempio avvelenare il vassoio delle vivande, nascondere cadaveri nei tombini, mettere un lassativo nella zuppa o usare un semplice cuscino per eliminare nel silenzio il nostro uomo.
