Ive caught this episode of One Night Stand a couple of times over the years on HBO Comedy and now its available on DVD. I must say this stand up performance from Bill Hicks is just fabulously funny! From start to finish Hicks is never at a moment of losing his words! This was in 1991 when Bill was at his peak and high point even the opening prologue of him at the airport is funny. Anyway Bill performs at the Old Vic Theatre in Chicago and I just love his rapid fire southern style of fast paced tongue and comedic wit! This stand up performance of only 30 minutes covers topics such as smoking, alcohol, pot use and the one catchy line about eggs and your brain on drugs. I love the way he closes out with the pornography speech that its simple magazines, movies, and advertising doesnt cause so much sexual behavior, but its nature and its only natural! As all slogans and products and commercials have sexual images, and he tells it like it is all just a fact of nature! As always raw, outspoken, and unafraid this stand up was one of HBOs best. Bill was well on his way to becoming the best comedian alive, its a shame he went before his time because his future was so bright its so odd the world took him on.
